Gerardo Pirmin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Arlindo Meireles skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nildo Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes, Atlético Nacional's Celestino Rudolfo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arlindo Meireles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético Nacional reached it. With an all-out effort, Atlético Nacional's Arlindo Meireles threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Baltasar Guillerme, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Valle got free with Wilfredo Berriotxoa in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the match, Baltasar Guillerme notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Xurupita FC's Arlindo Meireles. Arlindo Meireles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee ignored Xurupita FC's protests and gave Tiago Matos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Teodoro Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83rd play minutes Baltasar Guillerme shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Arlindo Meireles and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 91st minute Celestino Rudolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Atlético Nacional had played much better football throughout.
