The supporters of Astros de México booed when Xurupita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliberto Eyague sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angulo Cabañero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Meireles having to interfere. After some careless play in the Xurupita FC defense, Paulo Román kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arlindo Meireles. The Xurupita FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arlindo Meireles should have stopped the shot. Feliberto Eyague fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Meireles having to interfere. Paulo Román took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arlindo Meireles. After having played for 42 minutes, Feliberto Eyague managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astros de México's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Eyague was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
