Evaristo Meira started the match with the kick off. Hugo Ganix hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Marcelo Medeiros's late challenge caught a Potencial Desperdiciado F's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Marcelo Medeiros got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Einar Sävström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gino Hoffmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Potencial Desperdiciado F booed when Figueira SC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iraido Treviño took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gino Hoffmann. Gino Hoffmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Geovani Borges sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radu Proca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Hugo Ganix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Potencial Desperdiciado F booed when Figueira SC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Potencial Desperdiciado F fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Potencial Desperdiciado F's Iraido Treviño looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 44 minutes into the game, Romulo Izel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Gino Hoffmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Geovani Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Radu Proca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Iraido Treviño cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Gino Hoffmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iraido Treviño in the 63rd minute of play forced Figueira SC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gino Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Figueira SC FSCMZ's Geovani Borges got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute of the match Hugo Ganix sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gino Hoffmann skillfully saved the ball. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Gino Hoffmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Figueira SC FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Figueira SC FSCMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hugo Ganix was slow to take the kick. During this time Potencial Desperdiciado F's players had a chance to rest. Potencial Desperdiciado F's Hugo Ganix was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gino Hoffmann in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Gino Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Einar Sävström in the 81st minute of play. After 83 played minutes Figueira SC FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Carvalho. In the 86th minute Einar Sävström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radu Proca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Pinheiro in the 89th minute of the match. Radu Proca came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Figueira SC FSCMZ's Simão Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Simão Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. The Potencial Desperdiciado F players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
