With a little luck, Ekzema F.V.'s Sílvio Cordeiro got control of the ball when Abel Goethuys tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Abel Goethuys took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sílvio Cordeiro to make any attempt to save it. Roger Hoolemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Portus Ganda getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Pierre Van Leemputte hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ekzema F.V.'s Afonsinho Valladares got a free kick in the 19th minute. Ekzema F.V.'s Sílvio Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Van Leemputte in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Ekzema F.V.'s Samuca Tróia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roger Hoolemans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ekzema F.V.'s Sílvio Cordeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Ekzema F.V. from getting a goal against them. Márcio de Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Hoolemans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Ekzema F.V.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabinho Sarmento in the 29th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Daniel Bueno heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 31 minutes into the match, Portus Ganda's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Tróia came free, but Roger Hoolemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Márcio de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Hoolemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ekzema F.V.'s Sílvio Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güralp Ergüleç in the 36th minute of play. Samuca Tróia scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Hoolemans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th match minute, Ekzema F.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca Tróia to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Ekzema F.V. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuca Tróia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Van Leemputte, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Güralp Ergüleç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Matheus Aparecido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ekzema F.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portus Ganda the free kick. A collision led to Ekzema F.V. getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Matheus Aparecido hit a great ball. Sílvio Cordeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pierre Van Leemputte went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 66 minutes into the match, Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Roger Hoolemans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuca Tróia. Portus Ganda's Roger Hoolemans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Portus Ganda from getting a goal against them. Sílvio Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Goethuys in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Portus Ganda getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Pierre Van Leemputte hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Abel Goethuys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Pierre Van Leemputte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sílvio Cordeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ekzema F.V. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Portus Ganda.
