Corinthians's Emílio Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egídio Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Urbano in the 95th minute of the match. The Canarinho Atordoado fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Corinthians were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
