Anísio Cordeiro took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Hoolemans. Roger Hoolemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Goethuys in the 9th minute of play forced Laguna Sunrise FC's goalkeeper Emílio Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Hoolemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo da Costa in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Paulinho Hoffmann notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Portus Ganda's Roger Hoolemans. Roger Hoolemans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abel Goethuys recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Reinaldo da Costa notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Portus Ganda's Roger Hoolemans. Roger Hoolemans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anísio Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the Portus Ganda defense, Paulinho Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Hoolemans. The Portus Ganda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Hoolemans should have stopped the shot. Emílio Peres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andries Verstraeten in the 28th minute. In the 42nd minute Diguinho Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Hoolemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo da Costa in the 45th minute of play forced Portus Ganda's goalkeeper Roger Hoolemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portus Ganda's Roger Hoolemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo da Costa in the 47th minute of play. Paulinho Hoffmann scored 1-5 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Hoolemans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
The wind increased when Reinaldo da Costa made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Laguna Sunrise FC booed when Portus Ganda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennert De Loose didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Laguna Sunrise FC's Roger Hoolemans threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulinho Hoffmann, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Diguinho Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Hoolemans having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Portus Ganda's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Hoffmann came free, but Roger Hoolemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danny Spoelberchs charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danny Spoelberchs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Portus Ganda getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Danny Spoelberchs hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Diguinho Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Laguna Sunrise FC's Roger Hoolemans threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Diguinho Abreu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Laguna Sunrise FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
