But to his dismay, Fernandinho Urbano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edmílson Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Sílvio Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ekzema F.V.'s Fabinho Sarmento got a free kick in the 8th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Urbano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ekzema F.V.'s Sílvio Cordeiro. Sílvio Cordeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 16th minute, Márcio de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Urbano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Sílvio Cordeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Corinthians's Fernandinho Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 23 minutes, Fernandinho Urbano made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Ekzema F.V.'s Sílvio Cordeiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th match minute, Ekzema F.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Cordeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandinho Urbano's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Matorin in the 32nd minute of play forced Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmílson Matorin took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sílvio Cordeiro. Sílvio Cordeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Romeu Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Urbano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Cordeiro. Ekzema F.V.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernandinho Urbano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.
With an all-out effort, Corinthians's Sílvio Cordeiro threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fernandinho Urbano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 57th match minute, Ekzema F.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabinho Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ekzema F.V.'s Duda Lago got a free kick in the 60th minute. Corinthians's Romeu Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Sarmento in the 70th minute of play. Maicon Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maicon Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Ekzema F.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Linhares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Cordeiro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Corinthians's Fernandinho Urbano shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-8 in the ordered_time% minute. A collision led to Ekzema F.V. getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Samuca Tróia hit a great ball. Jardel Mineiro's late challenge caught a Ekzema F.V.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jardel Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Jardel Mineiro got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes, Ekzema F.V.'s Fabinho Sarmento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Romeu Souto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ekzema F.V. reached it. Sílvio Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Urbano in the 92nd minute of play. Sílvio Cordeiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vladimir Soares. Fabinho Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Sílvio Cordeiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Corinthians played a much better game than Ekzema F.V. and deserved their victory. The Ekzema F.V. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
