Spectators: 7518 (Terracing: 5639, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lucio Caetano started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Caetano in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egídio Sampaio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Percival dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Canarinho Atordoado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percival dos Santos couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute Lucio Caetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Lucio Caetano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nouvelle Vague's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Caetano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Sampaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Canarinho Atordoado's Egídio Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Abacha in the 12th minute of play. Egídio Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Walter Abacha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egídio Sampaio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The Nouvelle Vague fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Nouvelle Vague's Lucio Caetano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Egídio Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Abacha in the 24th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Nouvelle Vague got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Ederono. Vítor Chaves's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gualterio Socorro firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Canarinho Atordoado booed when Nouvelle Vague was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Ederono didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egídio Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Ederono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Nouvelle Vague were awarded a corner. Ignacio Arnas went to the cornerflag to take it. Ignacio Arnas made a great header on Nouvelle Vague's corner, it was just that Canarinho Atordoado's Egídio Sampaio managed to reach the ball for a save. 35 minutes into the match, Lucio Caetano notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Canarinho Atordoado's Egídio Sampaio. Egídio Sampaio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Walter Abacha struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Egídio Sampaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nouvelle Vague. 40 minutes into the game, Froilan Ederono was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nouvelle Vague's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canarinho Atordoado the free kick. After a rather tough play, Nouvelle Vague's Froilan Ederono got a free kick in the 41st minute. Egídio Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Caetano in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Fermin Tristan hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Gualterio Socorro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Chaves in the 69th minute of the match. Walter Abacha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egídio Sampaio having to make a save. With his leg Egídio Sampaio managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Nouvelle Vague's Lucio Caetano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Canarinho Atordoado's zone, Walter Abacha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Sampaio came out of the goal and Walter Abacha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Canarinho Atordoado's Egídio Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Canarinho Atordoado from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Egídio Sampaio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Canarinho Atordoado's Egídio Sampaio got control of the ball when Lucio Caetano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 82 played minutes Canarinho Atordoado got a freekick which was hit by Dênis Matos. Lucio Caetano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Egídio Sampaio made a huge save. The supporters of Canarinho Atordoado booed when Nouvelle Vague was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Caetano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Walter Abacha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Egídio Sampaio, 0-6. Egídio Sampaio was a little too slow when Lucio Caetano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 0-7. Egídio Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Caetano in the 94th minute of the match.
