The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Canarinho Atordoado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Gustavo Souza to maneuver through the defense. Dênis Matos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Arnalt went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dênis Matos came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by TALLERES's Nahuel Bustos. But to his dismay, Nahuel Bustos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Nestor Fonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. TALLERES's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Fonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dênis Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 minutes of play, TALLERES's Nahuel Bustos made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dênis Matos was left in no man's land by his defense there! TALLERES's Mario Cuenca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival dos Santos in the 26th minute of play. Canarinho Atordoado's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Henri Martins in the 27th minute. The corner ended in Henri Martins almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but TALLERES's Mario Cuenca did a great save. Percival dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nahuel Bustos in the 34th minute of play forced Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Dênis Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Nestor Fonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Cuenca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival dos Santos in the 38th minute of the match. Mario Cuenca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percival dos Santos in the 39th minute of play. Dênis Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Fonso in the 42nd minute of the match. After 44 minutes of play, TALLERES's Nahuel Bustos made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dênis Matos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nestor Fonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis Matos having to interfere.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nestor Fonso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jefferson Rossi's late challenge caught a TALLERES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jefferson Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 54 minutes, Percival dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canarinho Atordoado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the TALLERES defense, Percival dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mario Cuenca. The TALLERES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mario Cuenca should have stopped the shot. Percival dos Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Cuenca having to make a save. Mario Cuenca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Menegatti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Percival dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Percival dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Cuenca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percival dos Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mario Cuenca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Percival dos Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. Luís Gustavo Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Nahuel Bustos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Nahuel Bustos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dênis Matos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. Jefferson Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Percival dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Mario Cuenca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Cuenca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival dos Santos in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nahuel Bustos in the 87th minute of play forced Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Dênis Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canarinho Atordoado were furious when Elói Loureiro was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Canarinho Atordoado! The goalkeeper, Dênis Matos, was totally fooled by TALLERES's Fabian Arnalt, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Canarinho Atordoado getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Pedro Luís Menegatti hit a great ball. TALLERES's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
