If Cayetano Paublo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Itzaina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Paskal, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, RÚSTICOS F.C's Leon Francesco got a free kick in the 18th minute. Rodrigo Enmanuel hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Flavio Blai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, RÚSTICOS F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Hondo came free, but Rodrigo Itzaina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Jaime Telo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in RÚSTICOS F.C's zone, Leo Paskal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Itzaina came out of the goal and Leo Paskal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when RÚSTICOS F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Luzaide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cayetano Paublo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavio Blai made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Claudio Hondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Martin de Tucuman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Hondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, RÚSTICOS F.C's Anacleto Perico got a free kick in the 57th minute. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when RÚSTICOS F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Perico didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, RÚSTICOS F.C's Rodrigo Itzaina got control of the ball when Flavio Blai tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Leon Francesco fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RÚSTICOS F.C's protests and gave Leon Francesco a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, RÚSTICOS F.C's Anacleto Perico got a free kick in the 76th minute. San Martin de Tucuman's Maximo Arotza was substituted for Gregorio Atarrabi. In the 78th match minute, RÚSTICOS F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Perico to maneuver through the defense. Flavio Blai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Alfredo Belgrano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Belgrano in the 89th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Celedonio Peruxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Victoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Itzaina having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded San Martin de Tucuman left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than RÚSTICOS F.C.
