Guido Merexildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Saturnino Gaskon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 温沙轩 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Tabby, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

But to his dismay, Gerardo Kinsen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1.
