Spectators: 7662 (Terracing: 5750, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fragiskos Koukoulekis took the kick off in the first half of the match. San Martin de Tucuman were furious when Eugenio Orland was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Eugenio Orland hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Celedonio Peruxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Cloyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Doug Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Fragiskos Koukoulekis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Celedonio Peruxu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Abelardo Bortzaioriz kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Rogelio Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doug Bermudez in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celedonio Peruxu saved San Martin de Tucuman from getting behind. Rogelio Barbosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leo Paskal went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Fragiskos Koukoulekis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Diablos Rojos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doug Bermudez got free with Celedonio Peruxu in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fragiskos Koukoulekis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Celedonio Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Los Diablos Rojos's Doug Bermudez got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute Fragiskos Koukoulekis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Peruxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leo Paskal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doug Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Peruxu having to interfere. In the 57th minute Doug Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Peruxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Fragiskos Koukoulekis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Los Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Fragiskos Koukoulekis hit a great ball. If Blas Oxarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Los Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Rogelio Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Paskal. Leo Paskal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Martin de Tucuman's Jonathan Victoro was substituted for Esteban Bitxintxo. In the 76th minute, Doug Bermudez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celedonio Peruxu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Rogelio Barbosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leo Paskal in the 80th minute. Jonathan Victoro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogelio Barbosa having to make a save. In the 92nd match minute, San Martin de Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes, Los Diablos Rojos's Maximo Cloyo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celedonio Peruxu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Diablos Rojos reached it. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Martin de Tucuman players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Los Diablos Rojos.
