Răzvan Balaban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Sendoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Emanuel Tiberiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute of the match Jairo Vergaray sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petruț Ţopescu skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th minute of the match, Santo Cutberto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Petruț Ţopescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Godofredo Benitez succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 42nd playminute. Santo Cutberto hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes, Delphine Stars's Marcel Cristache shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Sendoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Delphine Stars reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godofredo Benitez made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Ricardo Ciceron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viento Norte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Ciceron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Delphine Stars's zone, Godofredo Benitez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petruț Ţopescu came out of the goal and Godofredo Benitez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viento Norte FC's David Sendoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costică Vărzaru in the 59th minute of play. Jairo Vergaray charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Vergaray the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jairo Vergaray hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute of the match Marcel Cristache shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Sendoa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 64 minutes Delphine Stars's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricardo Ciceron who took care of the corner kick. In the 65th minute Godofredo Benitez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Ţopescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Viento Norte FC's David Sendoa got control of the ball when Cristian Dorian tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute, Isac Buzilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Godofredo Benitez came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Viento Norte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godofredo Benitez couldn't finish the play. After 72 played minutes Viento Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Guillem. Petruț Ţopescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Benitez in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Delphine Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Rădoi to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 78 minutes, Răzvan Balaban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delphine Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Balaban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Godofredo Benitez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petruț Ţopescu was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Jairo Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petruț Ţopescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godofredo Benitez went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Viento Norte FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
