Jairo Vergaray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Fernando Gartxot made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Vergaray in the 68th minute of play forced Pink Floyd's goalkeeper Fernando Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Viento Norte FC's Godofredo Benitez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernando Gartxot. That made the score 0-9 after 71 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, Viento Norte FC's Fernando Gartxot threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jairo Vergaray, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 97th match minute, Pink Floyd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Galtero to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pink Floyd's goalkeeper Fernando Gartxot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Viento Norte FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
