Marcelo Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulizes Sola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Javier Landeras got free with Marcelo Alves in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 8 minutes, Riccardo Zonta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mayhem Sharks and the Astillero del Guayas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dagoberto Dantas's late challenge caught a Astillero del Guayas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dagoberto Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. Ulizes Sola, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 11 played minutes Mayhem Sharks got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel de Moraes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Landeras in the 15th minute of play forced Mayhem Sharks's goalkeeper Marcelo Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, Astillero del Guayas's Javier Landeras dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 20th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zarando Eguizabal to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the game, Dani Galiana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Alves. Dani Galiana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 30 minutes into the game, Astillero del Guayas's Ulizes Sola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Alves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Mayhem Sharks's Marcelo Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Mayhem Sharks from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Dani Galiana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Alves, 5-0. 43 minutes into the match, Javier Landeras notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Mayhem Sharks's Marcelo Alves. Marcelo Alves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulizes Sola to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Mayhem Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo-Enrique Oneca came free, but Marcelo Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Gabriel de Moraes hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Ulizes Sola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th minute, Ulizes Sola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Alves was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Mayhem Sharks's Marcelo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulizes Sola in the 61st minute of play. Marcelo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulizes Sola in the 63rd minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Ulizes Sola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Alves. Mayhem Sharks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulizes Sola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Marcelo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulizes Sola in the 75th minute of the match. Mayhem Sharks's Marcelo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Cabello in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Dani Galiana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Alves. Mayhem Sharks's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dani Galiana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. After 85 minutes of play, Astillero del Guayas's Ulizes Sola made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Alves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcelo Alves came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Astillero del Guayas's Javier Landeras. But to his dismay, Javier Landeras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. Dani Galiana scored 13-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcelo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Landeras in the 96th minute of the match. Astillero del Guayas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
