The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Fred Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Mayhem Sharks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Cruz couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Margoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Alves having to interfere. Ernesto Margoni kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Mayhem Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Margoni came free, but Marcelo Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elia Losito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ton Torres in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Fred Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mayhem Sharks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Scacchi in the 19th minute of play forced Mayhem Sharks's goalkeeper Marcelo Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Francesco De Lucia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Margoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mayhem Sharks's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Enzo Scacchi scored to the left of an out of position Marcelo Alves, making the score, 1-0. Marcelo Alves made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Enzo Scacchi sent off a good shot on target. When Kroton F.C.'s Ernesto Margoni in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Federico Balboni lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Trigo was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Enzo Scacchi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kroton F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a rather tough play, Mayhem Sharks's Ton Torres got a free kick in the 55th minute. Ernesto Margoni took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Alves. Marcelo Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Marcelo Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Margoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mayhem Sharks booed when Kroton F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Scacchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Guto Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elia Losito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Cruz in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mayhem Sharks's Ton Torres got a free kick in the 77th minute. Marcelo Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Zangari, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 83rd match minute, Mayhem Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Cruz to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Francesco De Lucia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Alves was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. The audience was convinced that Francesco De Lucia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Alves was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kroton F.C. had played much better football throughout.
