Mayhem Sharks's Marcelo Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octávio Moita in the 21st minute of play. Marcelo Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gentil Vasques in the 25th minute of play. A collision led to Mayhem Sharks getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Edgard Neto hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, SC Braga's Alexandrino Bessa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A throw-in in the 28th minute of the game was made by Hélio Cerqueira with Caetano Coutinho as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Neto during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Octávio Moita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Braga's supporters rose to their feet, but Caetano Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Belo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octávio Moita in the 88th minute. Mayhem Sharks's attentive Ton Torres managed to snatch the ball when Hugo Pinheiro made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game. SC Braga played a much better game than Mayhem Sharks and deserved their victory. The Mayhem Sharks players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
