Benicio Javiero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Benicio Javiero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delmiro Mambru went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. The Atlético Nuevo Laredo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atletico Calamar Saavedra were winning 0-6.

Silvio Miro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. 74 minutes into the match, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper Benicio Javiero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jørgen Waage. Benicio Javiero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Nel in the 74th minute of play. After some careless play in the Atlético Nuevo Laredo defense, Feliberto Olentzaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benicio Javiero. The Atlético Nuevo Laredo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benicio Javiero should have stopped the shot.
