The supporters of The Valar booed when Gyál United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferenc Vass didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Ferdinánd Nagy got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 9thth minute of the game Andrei Davidescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Gyál United defense, Gandalf Grey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sándor Jászberényi. The Gyál United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sándor Jászberényi should have stopped the shot. Cătălin Creteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sándor Jászberényi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrei Davidescu in the 15th minute of play. After 20 played minutes The Valar got a freekick which was hit by Cătălin Creteanu. In the 23rd minute Andrei Davidescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sándor Jászberényi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, The Valar's Cătălin Creteanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sándor Jászberényi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Sándor Jászberényi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mugurel Seţeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The Gyál United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Valar were winning 0-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrei Davidescu to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Gandalf Grey kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sándor Jászberényi. That made the score 0-5 in the 57 minute of play. Cătălin Creteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Sándor Jászberényi made a huge save. Sándor Jászberényi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Davidescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Andrei Davidescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. 84 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Davidescu came free, but Sándor Jászberényi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sándor Jászberényi was a little too slow when Andrei Davidescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-9. Cătălin Creteanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sándor Jászberényi having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded The Valar left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gyál United.
