In the 10th match minute, FC Kopli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaur Einama to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Kopli booed when Gyál United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferenc Vass didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ottó Gyarmati came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ulryk Marczyniec could save by the left post. Urmet Kapten's late challenge caught a Gyál United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urmet Kapten helped the player get up and apologised. FC Kopli's Ulryk Marczyniec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kálmán Fitos in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Villu Idavain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Kopli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. FC Kopli's Ulryk Marczyniec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Kopli from getting a goal against them. Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villu Idavain in the 33rd minute of play. Sándor Jászberényi came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Kopli's Villu Idavain. But to his dismay, Villu Idavain quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 37 played minutes, FC Kopli's Maarek Poltimäe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Kopli reached it. After 37 played minutes Gyál United got a freekick which was hit by Ferenc Vass. Villu Idavain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sándor Jászberényi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Villu Idavain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Kopli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4.

The wind increased when Villu Idavain made the kick off in the second half. Róbert Tamás kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match, Villu Idavain tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sándor Jászberényi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Villu Idavain in the 59th minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villu Idavain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Sándor Jászberényi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gyál United's zone, Villu Idavain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sándor Jászberényi came out of the goal and Villu Idavain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulryk Marczyniec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kálmán Fitos, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kálmán Fitos in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulryk Marczyniec saved FC Kopli from getting behind. The FC Kopli supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Kopli would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
