Cyryl Karpinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Diego Melendez made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Sixto Cuartas got a free kick in the 29th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cyryl Karpinski got free with Diego Melendez in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boca Juniors's Máté Galambos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guo Hao Chen in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Santos de Buenos Aires FC were awarded a corner. Modesto Caetano went to the cornerflag to take it. Cyryl Karpinski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diego Melendez came out and tried to block the shot, but Cyryl Karpinski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 39th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Boca Juniors's Dalmacio Jaume slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Diego Melendez. That made the score 2-1 after 43 minutes of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guo Hao Chen was the one to do the kick off. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Octavio Romero managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Taylor Dunbar in the 80 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babür Tüzüner in the 83rd minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Diego Melendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
