In the 8th play minute Guo Hao Chen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hélder de Queiroz. 1-0. Hélder de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Calvet, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Guo Hao Chen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Melendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clóvis Corrêa in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Válter Neto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Melendez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 22 minutes, Fernando Farias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos de Buenos Aires FC and the 20 DE SETEMBRO players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Farias to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match Cacá Souto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diego Melendez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guo Hao Chen took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélder de Queiroz. Hélder de Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Hélder de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guo Hao Chen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hélder de Queiroz firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Hélder de Queiroz got control of the ball when Guo Hao Chen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hélder de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guo Hao Chen in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guo Hao Chen to strike the kick off in the second half. Diego Melendez was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Válter Neto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Válter Neto really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Santos de Buenos Aires FC made a substitution. Godofredo Rioja replaced Guo Hao Chen. Modesto Caetano might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder de Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Modesto Caetano ran back to his position shaking his head. Hélder de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Calvet in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81stth minute of the game Rodrigo Calvet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 20 DE SETEMBRO's Hélder de Queiroz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodrigo Calvet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Godofredo Rioja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hélder de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Calvet, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Yuri Vieira made in the 88th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luís Neiva. When Godofredo Rioja came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godofredo Rioja couldn't finish the play. Modesto Caetano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 DE SETEMBRO's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
