Edgardo Kinsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bidari Ansola in the 3rd minute of play. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Edgardo Kinsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bidari Ansola in the 4th minute of play. After having played for 8 minutes, Dani Oro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monitor Huáscar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dani Oro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Molino in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Kinsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Monitor Huáscar's David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferman Basabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Urbez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Monitor Huáscar fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Monitor Huáscar's Jonathan Molino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 29th minute Jonathan Molino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Kinsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Elvio Ariando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Ricardo Rivadeneyra-Gamonal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Edgardo Kinsen didn't even have to move. Edgardo Kinsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bidari Ansola, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The supporters of Monitor Huáscar booed when Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Martino didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Cipriano Martino hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bidari Ansola in the 43rd minute of play forced Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Edgardo Kinsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Jonathan Molino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Kinsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camilo Palben was the one to do the kick off. Bidari Ansola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Edgardo Kinsen made a huge save. Edgardo Kinsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bidari Ansola went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Humberto Sagasti replaced Ovidio Varez. 64 minutes into the game, Monitor Huáscar's Jonathan Molino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgardo Kinsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Silvestre Marcones charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvestre Marcones the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Marcones. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Turi Larrategui replaced David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado. Silvestre Marcones hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jonathan Molino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Edgardo Kinsen made a huge save. Ferman Basabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Palben in the 76th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steven Fortis during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Monitor Huáscar got a freekick which was hit by Steven Fortis. Camilo Palben took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ferman Basabe. Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edgardo Kinsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bidari Ansola's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 85thth minute of the game Bidari Ansola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Edgardo Kinsen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Turi Larrategui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Kinsen having to interfere. Bidari Ansola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Edgardo Kinsen made a huge save. During the 89th minute of the match Cipriano Martino completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cipriano Martino a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Cipriano Martino kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s zone, Bidari Ansola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Kinsen came out of the goal and Bidari Ansola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Xabat kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
