Ben Steel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Xavier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Pedro Paulo Furlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Ssc Napoli's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Senna came free, but Silvester Pamplin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Pedro Paulo Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvester Pamplin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Brasilino's Wágner Chaves got a free kick in the 68th minute. Elder Ramalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvester Pamplin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elder Ramalho ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Brasilino's Humberto Xavier got control of the ball when Ben Burnham tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ssc Napoli's zone, Pedro Paulo Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvester Pamplin came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 played minutes Ssc Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Darren Huckerby. Although Brasilino had been in control for most of the match, Ssc Napoli still came away with the win.
