In the 27th minute Agustin Elija shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvester Pamplin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ssc Napoli's Silvester Pamplin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Palben in the 32nd minute of play. If Camilo Palben had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvester Pamplin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Palben, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Silvester Pamplin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustin Elija went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ben Burnham made the kick off in the second half. Edgardo Kinsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Burnham in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedicto Lobo during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benedicto Lobo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Agustin Elija charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
