Jarametais's Walmir Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nils-Erik Gustafsson hit a great ball. Jarametais's Rodolfo Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Forssell in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Lions FC's zone, Jair Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maria Jacobsson came out of the goal and Jair Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when Jarametais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maria Jacobsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jair Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Jarametais defense, Axel Samuelsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Damião. The Jarametais fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Damião should have stopped the shot. In the 36th match minute, Jarametais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Linhares to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Golden Lions FC booed when Jarametais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Golden Lions FC's Axel Samuelsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rodolfo Damião but with some difficulty. When Walmir Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Jarametais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmir Freitas couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Ciro Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Nordström to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Jarametais's Walmir Freitas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Kenneth Forssell hit a great ball. Jarametais made a substitution. André Luiz Vidal replaced Cacá Dantas. Jarametais's João Toledo was substituted for Ciro Linhares. In the 65th match minute, Golden Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenneth Forssell to maneuver through the defense. Golden Lions FC's Maria Jacobsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Lions FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Jarametais defense, Sven-Erik Valström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Damião. The Jarametais fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Damião should have stopped the shot. In the 75thth minute of the game Alex Nordström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jarametais's Rodolfo Damião was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Nordström in the 80th minute of play forced Jarametais's goalkeeper Rodolfo Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Jarametais's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Samuelsson came free, but Rodolfo Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes of play, Golden Lions FC's Axel Samuelsson made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Damião was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 92 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Valström. Nils-Erik Gustafsson charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils-Erik Gustafsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nils-Erik Gustafsson kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. There was no doubt that Golden Lions FC were the better team. Golden Lions FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
