Diego Barros started the match with the kick off. Roger Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Roger Melo hit a great ball. Roger de Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şahin Bäylärov's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Yaqub Aydinov took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger de Souza. Roger de Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Şamaxı Bankirlər's Péter Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Barros in the 13th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Abdulhämid Ibrahimli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Şamaxı Bankirlər and the Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Şamaxı Bankirlər was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulhämid Ibrahimli to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Diego Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Péter Čech was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yaqub Aydinov in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 32 played minutes Şamaxı Bankirlər got a freekick which was hit by Şahin Bäylärov. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Pedro Luís Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th match minute, Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luís de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ got a corner. Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Luís Porto ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Yaqub Aydinov made the kick off in the second half. Diego Barros scored 1-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Péter Čech, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the game, Şahin Bäylärov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Roger de Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Péter Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute of the match, Qüdrät Ağamirzadä got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roger de Souza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 73 played minutes Şamaxı Bankirlər got a freekick which was hit by Loğman Hacibabayev. After a rather tough play, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Çärkäz Dünyamaliyev got a free kick in the 76th minute. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Pedro Luís Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Péter Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Péter Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luís Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Diogo Barros hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 96 minutes, Yaqub Aydinov made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Roger de Souza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Şamaxı Bankirlər walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
