Spectators: 7555 (Terracing: 5668, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gerardo Oinatz got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda FC's Fabricio Iigo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Bartolo Amato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Oinatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the game, Piquirenda FC's Serafin Igon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santiago Gau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Victor Gelmiro hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Niceto Flor, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Fabricio Iigo charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabricio Iigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Santiago Gau was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Robustiano Aznaro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Franco Mastantuono who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Santiago Gau when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Victor Gelmiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute of the match Niceto Flor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santiago Gau showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Piquirenda FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Franco Mastantuono hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Rufio in the 43rd minute of play forced Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mainumby's Santiago Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Rufio in the 44th minute of play. Serafin Igon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Gau having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Mainumby made a substitution. Honorato Omero replaced Candido Suero. Mainumby's Isaac Urtungo was substituted for Rigoberto Santxol. Mainumby's Bernardo Benet was substituted for Benigno Ilazki. 54 minutes into the game, Piquirenda FC's Pablo Rufio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santiago Gau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Niceto Flor was slow to take the kick. During this time Piquirenda FC's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda FC's Dante Burutzagi got a free kick in the 59th minute. If Armando Beltza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Mainumby defense, Pablo Rufio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santiago Gau. The Mainumby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Gau should have stopped the shot. Santiago Gau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Igon in the 69th minute of the match. After 71 minutes Mainumby's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niceto Flor who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Piquirenda FC's corner Niceto Flor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santiago Gau quite easily take care of the ball. Pablo Rufio took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santiago Gau. Santiago Gau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Mainumby's Armando Beltza got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Gau came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Piquirenda FC's Pablo Rufio. But to his dismay, Pablo Rufio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. The supporters of Piquirenda FC booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Gelmiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mainumby's zone, Pablo Rufio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Gau came out of the goal and Pablo Rufio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mainumby's goalkeeper Santiago Gau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 96 minutes into the game, Amadeo Olivar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mainumby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piquirenda FC the free kick. A collision led to Mainumby getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Amadeo Olivar hit a great ball. Pablo Rufio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Santiago Gau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
