When Jonathan Tonete fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlethico Talleres's protests and gave Jonathan Tonete a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Club Atlethico Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Tonete. 7 minutes into the match, Club Atlethico Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Proença came free, but Manuel Hibai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlethico Talleres's Mauro Cordareo came free and shot a quick shot against goal 10 minutes in the game, fortunately Celsinho Vander had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Celsinho Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Rubio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Cordareo got free with Celsinho Vander in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felipe Galindo made a kick off. Feliciano Ekialde took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celsinho Vander. AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to AFC - Curitiba getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Doriva Koehler hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, AFC - Curitiba's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Cordareo came free, but Celsinho Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, AFC - Curitiba's Jano Proença sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Hibai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Club Atlethico Talleres getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jonathan Tonete hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Felipe Galindo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celsinho Vander. AFC - Curitiba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Galindo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Celsinho Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Cordareo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85thth minute of the game Mauro Cordareo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC - Curitiba's Celsinho Vander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Feliciano Ekialde hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Club Atlethico Talleres's Manuel Hibai got control of the ball when Luiz Gustavo Braga tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mauro Cordareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atlethico Talleres's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
