The referee ignored Barra EC's protests and gave Pedro Luiz Souto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Atlethico Talleres booed when Barra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luiz Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Paulino Gonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlethico Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Gonzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rômulo Camargo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Barra EC defense, Nicasio Rubio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rômulo Camargo.
