In the 11th minute Fedele Scirea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes of play, Set Fire's Fedele Scirea made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celsinho Vander was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22ndth minute of the game Luiz Gustavo Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Set Fire's Delmiro Rosalio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes into the game, AFC - Curitiba's Luiz Gustavo Braga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delmiro Rosalio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Luizão Ferraz made in the 31st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Anderson Velloso immediately put the ball in play. Celsinho Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fedele Scirea in the 34th minute of the match. With a left leg Celsinho Vander saved AFC - Curitiba from getting behind. 95 minutes into the game, Jano Proença cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-8. Delmiro Rosalio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Set Fire played a much better game than AFC - Curitiba and deserved their victory. The AFC - Curitiba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
