Gerardo Oinatz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rômulo Camargo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Barra EC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Ricardo Santos hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Luiz Souto in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Gau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santiago Gau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. André Luís de Amaral's late challenge caught a Mainumby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Luís de Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Barra EC's André Luís de Amaral got a free kick in the 15th minute. When %teams%'s Pedro Luiz Souto was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-0 just inside the left pole, 20 minutes into the game. Santiago Gau was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Mainumby's Santiago Gau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Souto in the 22nd minute of play. Rômulo Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Oinatz in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Mainumby booed when Barra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes Barra EC got a freekick which was hit by José Pedro Koehler. In the 29th minute, José Pedro Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Suero in the 37th minute of play forced Barra EC's goalkeeper Rômulo Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Mainumby's Honorato Omero was substituted for Candido Suero. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Luiz Souto made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Barra EC's goalkeeper Rômulo Camargo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Beltza. André Luís de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Santiago Gau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mainumby's Amadeo Olivar got a free kick in the 71st minute. Santiago Gau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Souto in the 74th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luiz Souto in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Gau saved Mainumby from getting behind. Barra EC's Henrique Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Gau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Barra EC booed when Mainumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Olivar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes of play, Barra EC's Pedro Luiz Souto made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Gau was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute of the game, Amadeo Olivar landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After a rather tough play, Barra EC's André Luís de Amaral got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Honorato Omero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fernandinho Alves came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Barra EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho Alves couldn't finish the play. Barra EC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mainumby for a fine match.
