Celsinho Vander had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Egídio Vaz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Nilton Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celsinho Vander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilton Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Braga put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Orlando Paraíba. Orlando Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Braga in the 19th minute of play. Orlando Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Adriano Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of TOCO Y ME VOY F.C. -DMZ- booed when AFC - Curitiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position.
