In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Juventud Antoniana's goalkeeper Celso Demario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Rigoberto Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Sanduru kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Celso Demario was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edmond Mason. Mauro Fernado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alisdair Ferries having to make a save. Edmond Mason kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Alisdair Ferries showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After the first half Juventud Antoniana were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ciriaco Seber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alisdair Ferries having to interfere. In the 66thth minute of the game Tam Clerk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventud Antoniana's Celso Demario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Juventud Antoniana booed when Lord of the Wings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmond Mason didn't get a good kick on the ball.
