An unexpectedly hard shot by Urki Parga in the 23rd minute of play forced Parma Wanderers's goalkeeper John-Paul Faulkner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Doroteo Bernal put in a rough tackle. In the 73rd minute Vicente Depino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John-Paul Faulkner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Parma Wanderers's John-Paul Faulkner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Parma Wanderers from getting a goal against them. If Zunbeltz Inchaurdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zuriko Lagala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Thurman in the 92nd minute of the match. Parma Wanderers were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
