The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as The Skates's Edgar Degas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Silas Nascimento. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. A collision led to México Eterno MZC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Doriva Pernambucano hit a great ball. The Skates's Alex Ödmann couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for México Eterno MZC. Jânio Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jânio Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of The Skates booed when México Eterno MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jânio Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Degas in the 18th minute of play forced México Eterno MZC's goalkeeper Silas Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Zorge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 24th minute Edgar Degas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, México Eterno MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Silas Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Ödmann in the 29th minute. 36 minutes into the match, México Eterno MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Degas came free, but Silas Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 38 minutes into the game, when Robert Bugajski put in a rough tackle. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Skates! 39 minutes into the game, México Eterno MZC's Paulão Ferreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Zorge made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After 43 played minutes The Skates got a freekick which was hit by Alex Ödmann. Alex Ödmann scored 4-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silas Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kauan Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silas Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Ödmann in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, The Skates's goalkeeper Jan Zorge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulão Ferreira. In the 57th match minute, The Skates was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Åke Wennerquist to maneuver through the defense. Silas Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Ödmann in the 59th minute of play. México Eterno MZC's Silas Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Ödmann in the 68th minute of play. Jan Zorge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Zorge made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Paulão Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. Silas Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Ödmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Alex Ödmann made a precise shot to the right of Silas Nascimento. The Skates had played much better football throughout.
