The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Higinio Dolfo's late challenge caught a La Tribuna Tambien Juega's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Tribuna Tambien Juega reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Salomon got free with Albino Nofre in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Talleres had won after a very even match.
