Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Patric Bierhoff started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Marcelo Roldan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of istanbulls's Hatemi Cire. Hatemi Cire was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th minute, Ahmet Baki Uzsoy fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Patric Bierhoff who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Gonzalo Regis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcelo Roldan hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Gonzalo Regis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patric Bierhoff in the 14th minute of play. Patric Bierhoff's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Gonzalo Regis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 18 minutes, Marcelo Roldan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Rio Cuarto and the istanbulls players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 19 played minutes Atlético Rio Cuarto got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Pabla. Gonzalo Regis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 20th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 25th minute Santos Montel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hatemi Cire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Montel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hatemi Cire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Atlético Rio Cuarto were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after istanbulls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Santos Montel took the corner. Marcelo Roldan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 30 minutes into the match, Mustafa Emrah Sedat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gonzalo Regis. Atlético Rio Cuarto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mustafa Emrah Sedat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Hatemi Cire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Montel in the 35th minute of play. Santos Montel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute Santos Montel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hatemi Cire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Atlético Rio Cuarto got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Roldan. After some careless play in the istanbulls defense, Santos Montel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hatemi Cire. The istanbulls fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hatemi Cire should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Santos Montel made the kick off in the second half. Gonzalo Regis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Baki Uzsoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute, Marcelo Roldan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute Mustafa Emrah Sedat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Regis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56thth minute of the game Patric Bierhoff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Rio Cuarto's Gonzalo Regis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patric Bierhoff scored 4-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gonzalo Regis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st match minute, Atlético Rio Cuarto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Urbasa to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Patric Bierhoff made a precise shot to the right of Gonzalo Regis. Atlético Rio Cuarto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Jaime Guillem kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of istanbulls booed when Atlético Rio Cuarto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Lovagnini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzalo Regis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Bierhoff in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Jaime Guillem suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 82 minutes, Ertuğrul Hisarcık mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the istanbulls and the Atlético Rio Cuarto players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ertuğrul Hisarcık hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santos Montel got free with Hatemi Cire in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Angelo Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, istanbulls's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Montel came free, but Hatemi Cire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. istanbulls's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
