The audience was convinced that Mateusz Wojtkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilbert Zawaski was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Marcin Siwy hit a great ball. Krzysztof Biskupiak took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilbert Zawaski. Gilbert Zawaski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of WaHa TeaM booed when Skarpa Ełk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkadiusz Dulka didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Przemyslaw Lewicki sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Skarpa Ełk's Jedrzej Grucza didn't even have to move. When Krzysztof Biskupiak came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Skarpa Ełk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krzysztof Biskupiak couldn't finish the play. After 35 minutes Skarpa Ełk's goalkeeper Jedrzej Grucza managed, with a little bit of luck, save Przemyslaw Lewicki's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. 35 minutes into the match, Przemyslaw Lewicki dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jedrzej Grucza, 1-1. In the 38th minute, Marek Petka made a precise shot to the right of Gilbert Zawaski. WaHa TeaM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 43rd minute Marek Petka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Zawaski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Zawaski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korneliusz Narbut in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Marek Petka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilbert Zawaski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After the first half Skarpa Ełk were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lech Babicki to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Marek Petka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilbert Zawaski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Gilbert Zawaski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Korneliusz Narbut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Skarpa Ełk's Jedrzej Grucza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lech Babicki in the 76th minute of play. Jedrzej Grucza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lech Babicki in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Skarpa Ełk's Szczepan Gibowski got a free kick in the 79th minute. When Korneliusz Narbut fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skarpa Ełk's protests and gave Korneliusz Narbut a yellow card for diving instead. Stefan Skrzypek charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stefan Skrzypek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to WaHa TeaM getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Stefan Skrzypek hit a great ball. Marek Petka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Zawaski having to interfere. Franciszek Fleszar hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The supporters of Skarpa Ełk booed when WaHa TeaM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikolaj Kieca didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mateusz Wojtkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Krzysztof Biskupiak got free with Gilbert Zawaski in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Skarpa Ełk left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than WaHa TeaM.
