Wilian Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ksawery Fabiszak in the 12th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, LauerArmy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Rodriguez to maneuver through the defense. RKS Królewscy's Edwin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléber Guedes in the 33rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Renato Valladares during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kajetan Kluczyk hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 41 minutes into the game, when Lech Kondysar put in a rough tackle. In the 40th minute, one of RKS Królewscy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for RKS Królewscy. Edwin van der Saar had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Paulo Renato Valladares's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, LauerArmy's James Rodriguez got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kajetan Kluczyk was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, RKS Królewscy's goal looked a bit too open when James Rodriguez came free, but Edwin van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If James Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. LauerArmy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RKS Królewscy the free kick. After 94 played minutes LauerArmy got a freekick which was hit by James Rodriguez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Teixeira in the 96th minute of play forced RKS Królewscy's goalkeeper Edwin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RKS Królewscy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
