The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Flavio Bento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The PEREBAH FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amauri Proença should have stopped the shot. Flavio Bento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes, Eustacio Llorienzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Cosa Nostra and the PEREBAH FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the PEREBAH FC defense, Eustacio Llorienzo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amauri Proença. The PEREBAH FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amauri Proença should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Pacorro during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eustacio Llorienzo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in La Cosa Nostra's zone, Benjamim Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. PEREBAH FC's Amauri Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Rafe in the 57th minute of play. Casimiro Pacorro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in PEREBAH FC's zone, Leonel Rafe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amauri Proença came out of the goal and Leonel Rafe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, Diamantino Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, La Cosa Nostra's Casimiro Pacorro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. When Benjamim Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the PEREBAH FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamim Freitas couldn't finish the play. When the match was over La Cosa Nostra could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than PEREBAH FC throughout the match.
