Jarrett Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atarratze Maeztu in the 15th minute of the match. Grant McKay charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grant McKay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mete y Raspa FC made a substitution. Mino Buenaga replaced Fritz Busk. After 22 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Grant McKay. Jarrett Rosenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mino Buenaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes Mete y Raspa FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Grant McKay who took care of the corner kick. In the 33rd match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivelin Kúchev to maneuver through the defense. Bert Pöggeler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Fontenot, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Federico Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosmos Soccer Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bert Pöggeler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donovan Heath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bert Pöggeler having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Mete y Raspa FC's Mino Buenaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarrett Rosenberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Xaven Cachorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atarratze Maeztu struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Jarrett Rosenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mete y Raspa FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mino Buenaga to strike the kick off in the second half. Atarratze Maeztu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jarrett Rosenberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mino Buenaga got free with Jarrett Rosenberg in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Federico Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Mete y Raspa FC booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donovan Heath didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mino Buenaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jarrett Rosenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mino Buenaga in the 68th minute of play. Tristan Neyda kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Mete y Raspa FC's Mino Buenaga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarrett Rosenberg. That made the score 1-1 after 72 minutes of play. With his leg Jarrett Rosenberg managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Mete y Raspa FC's Tristan Neyda fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Mete y Raspa FC's Mino Buenaga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarrett Rosenberg. That made the score 1-2 after 78 minutes of play. In the 83rd minute Mino Buenaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Fontenot in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bert Pöggeler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mino Buenaga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jarrett Rosenberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Mino Buenaga slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 94th minute.
