Spectators: 7463 (Terracing: 5598, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Calesso FC's Pedro Paulo Paraíba started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Paulo Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Tamboril's José Vítor Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute Wanderson Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmyr Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wanderson Ceresso might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmyr Bezerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wanderson Ceresso ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes into the game, Tamboril's Wanderson Ceresso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walmyr Bezerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Walmyr Bezerra came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tamboril's Narciso Pernambucano. But to his dismay, Narciso Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Rafa Bueno fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamboril's protests and gave Rafa Bueno a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Tamboril got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Bueno. Calesso FC's Walmyr Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Pernambucano in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tamboril's Wanderson Ceresso got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Dalmo Esteves made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Hermínio Vergílio sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Calesso FC's Pedro Paulo Paraíba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmo Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valdomiro Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Calesso FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tamboril were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdomiro Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Narciso Pernambucano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Walmyr Bezerra. That made the score 0-3 in the 52 minute of play. Rafa Bueno got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 59th minute, Rafa Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Calesso FC booed when Tamboril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilian Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Calesso FC's Pedro Paulo Paraíba got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Narciso Pernambucano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nildo Berger's late challenge caught a Tamboril's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nildo Berger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, Calesso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Berger to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, José Vítor Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tamboril fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After 84 played minutes Tamboril got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Pernambucano. Narciso Pernambucano scored 0-5 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walmyr Bezerra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience held their breath when Álvaro Gaúcho in the 93rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Dalmo Esteves's left hand side. Valdomiro Garcia struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Walmyr Bezerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tamboril. Tamboril's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
