The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wanderson Ceresso's late challenge caught a Rockets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wanderson Ceresso helped the player get up and apologised. Wanderson Ceresso hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Geraldo Queiroz was a little too slow when Wanderson Ceresso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Narciso Pernambucano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geraldo Queiroz. Rockets's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narciso Pernambucano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Geraldo Queiroz came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Tamboril's Valdomiro Garcia. But to his dismay, Valdomiro Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 28th minute, Naldo Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wanderson Ceresso scored 4-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geraldo Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz got control of the ball when Valdomiro Garcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geraldo Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narciso Pernambucano went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After 39 minutes, Narciso Pernambucano made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 43 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Donatello. If Valdomiro Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rockets's Naldo Garcia got a free kick in the 45th minute. Wanderson Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

In the 51st minute, Jarbas Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geraldo Queiroz came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Tamboril's Narciso Pernambucano. But to his dismay, Narciso Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 55 minutes into the game, Tamboril's Wanderson Ceresso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geraldo Queiroz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Tamboril made a substitution. Frederico Leme replaced José Vítor Lara. In the 64th minute, Frederico Leme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geraldo Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. 67 minutes into the game, Tamboril's Frederico Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geraldo Queiroz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Dudu Madureira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmo Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match Joélson Melo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dalmo Esteves skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Rockets defense, Narciso Pernambucano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo Queiroz. The Rockets fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo Queiroz should have stopped the shot. After 78 played minutes Tamboril got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Pernambucano. In the 81st minute, Wanderson Ceresso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geraldo Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 12-0. 85 minutes into the match, Frederico Leme notched a goal, 13-0, to the right of Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz. Geraldo Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 93 minutes into the game, Frederico Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tamboril's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rockets the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tamboril's Frederico Leme got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute, Frederico Leme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geraldo Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 15-0.
