Nildo Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrei Gil in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Ribeiro in the 19th minute of play forced Club Deportivo O IRIXO's goalkeeper Leonardo Romani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Squadra Demarchi got a corner. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudinho Loyola ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Rafael da Rocha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Leonardo Romani did a great save. Pello Cameno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Oscar Saldanha made a huge save. 27 minutes into the game, Kléber Queirós cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Leonardo Romani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute, Kléber Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Squadra Demarchi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Pello Cameno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Kléber Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Squadra Demarchi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléber Queirós couldn't finish the play. If Samuel Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrei Gil was the one to do the kick off. Ciro Castro hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Indalecio Morcego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Indalecio Morcego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pello Cameno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Squadra Demarchi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Indalecio Morcego was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Deportivo O IRIXO's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Indalecio Morcego got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oscar Saldanha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 59th minute, Ciro Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
