Angel Etxeberri made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Adil Magaud sent off a good shot on target. In the 14th minute, Rathmore Lime Tree's Adil Magaud ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angel Etxeberri. Angel Etxeberri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Academia FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Federico Nicholas hit a great ball. In the 21st minute Karim Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Etxeberri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Academia FC's goalkeeper Angel Etxeberri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adil Magaud. Sofyane Valognes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Martxot, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Academia FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Constantino Rodriguez in the 31st minute. The corner led Academia FC's Constantino Rodriguez to fire away a dangerous shot which Sofyane Valognes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 39th minute, Enzo Frantzes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rathmore Lime Tree's attentive Karim Cosme managed to snatch the ball when Maximo Gau made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bilal Hédin during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorge Martxot did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Sofyane Valognes 83 minutes into the match. Angelo Ireno hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, Rathmore Lime Tree's Fernand Rouland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angel Etxeberri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. After a rather tough play, Academia FC's Enzo Frantzes got a free kick in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rathmore Lime Tree fully deserved thier win.
