Seahawks V55's Iordanis Kopanakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Van Clijnebreugel in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Fauna Utd got a corner. Seahawks V55's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abel Van Clijnebreugel ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fauna Utd's Abel Van Clijnebreugel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Iordanis Kopanakis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Iordanis Kopanakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel Van Clijnebreugel went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Iordanis Kopanakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Van Clijnebreugel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fauna Utd booed when Seahawks V55 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giotis Diamantopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Grigoris Papaggelou kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gino Van Deijck. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. In the 30th minute, Abel Van Clijnebreugel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Fauna Utd's Abel Van Clijnebreugel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iordanis Kopanakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Robben De Vlaeminck took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iordanis Kopanakis. Iordanis Kopanakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 44 minutes into the match, Fauna Utd's Abel Van Clijnebreugel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iordanis Kopanakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fauna Utd's Gino Van Deijck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Fauna Utd from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel Van Clijnebreugel was the one to do the kick off. Gino Van Deijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Nekos in the 51st minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Fauna Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wout Rosbach to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Fauna Utd's Abel Van Clijnebreugel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Abel Van Clijnebreugel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fauna Utd's Cipriano Hendrickx managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Giotis Diamantopoulos in the 71 minute of the game. Manolis Kalergis took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gino Van Deijck. Gino Van Deijck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Abel Van Clijnebreugel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iordanis Kopanakis having to make a save. A collision led to Fauna Utd getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Cipriano Hendrickx hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Seahawks V55 defense, Abel Van Clijnebreugel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iordanis Kopanakis. The Seahawks V55 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iordanis Kopanakis should have stopped the shot. Robben De Vlaeminck kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 88 minutes of play, Fauna Utd's Abel Van Clijnebreugel made it 3-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iordanis Kopanakis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fauna Utd's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
