The supporters of Rathmore Lime Tree booed when Academia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Fraco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Constantino Rodriguez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rathmore Lime Tree the free kick. Enzo Frantzes hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Hervé Annette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Orland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adil Magaud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Karim Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Rathmore Lime Tree fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Cosme couldn't finish the play. Mario Fraco hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Higinio Orain during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Orain. When Christophe Reibel was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Christophe Reibel got a free kick in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, Academia FC's Enzo Frantzes got a free kick in the 70th minute. Bilal Hédin was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 78th minute, one of Rathmore Lime Tree:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rathmore Lime Tree. The supporters of Academia FC booed when Rathmore Lime Tree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grégory Castello didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Academia FC's Constantino Rodriguez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Nereo Kemen came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Academia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Kemen couldn't finish the play. Academia FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
