The crowd rose to their feet as Talcampeón FC's Tanio Lezaeta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Bautista. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanio Lezaeta got free with Bernardo Bautista in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Alberto Villa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Ciceron in the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Ciceron came free, but Carlos Alberto Villa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Ciceron in the 20th minute of play forced Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Villa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Bautista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanio Lezaeta in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Talcampeón FC booed when INCONA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Eneas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's Eladio Sarmiento broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tanio Lezaeta to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, INCONA FC's Mateo Ciceron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Alberto Villa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The INCONA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Bautista should have stopped the shot.
