The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Flavio Lauren kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Fajteri's goalkeeper Ivek Majstorović had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Karlo. In the 7th minute Marsel Pečjak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Geofredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucio Geofredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marsel Pečjak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th match minute, Fajteri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francelj Kunstič to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Nicanor Oliveiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucio Geofredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marsel Pečjak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fajteri booed when Florida Gulf Coast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gordon Nazario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucio Geofredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marsel Pečjak in the 19th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Stašo Šiler came free, but Lucio Geofredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Geofredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolonije Podobnik, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Ivek Majstorović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Tiadoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Florida Gulf Coast's Roberto Cayo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Karlo was the one to do the kick off. Samel Mudri's late challenge caught a Florida Gulf Coast's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samel Mudri helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Florida Gulf Coast booed when Fajteri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samel Mudri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Cayo took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivek Majstorović. Ivek Majstorović dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 60th minute, Leo Karlo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Florida Gulf Coast fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After a rather tough play, Florida Gulf Coast's Gordon Nazario got a free kick in the 64th minute. Marsel Pečjak's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucio Geofredo firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Fajteri getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Orlando Kutnjak hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francelj Kunstič during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th match minute, Fajteri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francelj Kunstič to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Flavio Lauren notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Fajteri's Ivek Majstorović. Ivek Majstorović was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samel Mudri might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucio Geofredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samel Mudri ran back to his position shaking his head. Lucio Geofredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julien Anderle in the 76th minute of play. With 79 minutes on the clock, Leonardo Dominix commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Leonardo Dominix kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Ajnik got free with Lucio Geofredo in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Fajteri's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Tiadoro came free, but Ivek Majstorović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Samel Mudri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fajteri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samel Mudri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Florida Gulf Coast players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
